MayGas founded in 2008 pursuant to General Authority for Investment and free zones (GAFI) decree
no. 537 dated April 30, 2008, as a joint stock company governed by Law 8/1997 concerning Investment Guarantees and Incentives.
Egyptian, businessman Mr. Farouk Makram Ebeid (born 1942) is the founder & chairman of MayGas. He is also the Chairman & Managing Director of Siwa Company for Industrialization & Development (Water Bottling Company) since 2006, as well as Chairman of the Board of Directors of TransGas (Concessionaire for natural Gas distribution of Kafr ElSheikh) from 2002 to date.
Victoria College high school graduate,
holder of B.Sc. of Commerce , and has over 40 years experience in the field of Construction and Management of Gas Distribution & Maintenance.
He is also the founder of Repco Gas and TransGas Companies.
Mr. Ebeid is a prominent businessman with a successful track record and immense experience and respect in the Natural Gas Industry..
